TIARA PESTALOZZI GRANT
The Pestalozzi Children’s Village with their guiding principles behind the project was education based on Three H’s; that is education of the Head (academic); Heart (compassion and community service) and Hands (practical & technical skills giving dignity to physical labour). At Pestalozzi, the students who come from disadvantaged families of countries in the Indian subcontinent are exposed to a secular education that confers equal respect to all faiths, cultures and nationalities.
Tiara has initiated a program to help some of the brightest students from Pestalozzi, Dehra Dun. The following students are/were currently supported by the Foundation.

Tenzing Yangchen Bhutia
Born in Darjeeling, Tenzin is currently pursuing her degree in BA English Hons. with Mass communication, at St Joseph’s College in her hometown. She did her schooling from Shigally Hill International Academy in Dehradun. Her mother, the sole working person in her family and her father a house husband have deeply inspired her.. English literature is the subject she is very passionate about. After her Bachelor’s Degree she would like to pursue a Masters and Ph. D. in English literature. After graduation she would like to work in the field of journalism and teaching.

Abhishek Kumar
Abhishek comes from a small village called Gutjora, Jharkhand . His father is a farmer and has been Abhishek’s greatest inspiration . He completed his secondary education from St. Judes’s School, Dehradun. He is currently enrolled in Lovely professional University Punjab , pursuing a course in B. Tech Computer Science and aspires to become a Data Scientist. After his undergraduation, he is planning to pursue a Master’s degree in the same field .He wants to inspire children from his state to take up further studies in the field of science and technology.

Selena Kesha Balyar
Selena is from Doti Nepal, She completed her school studies at Shigally Hill International Academy, Dehradun. She is currently pursuing Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, English, Sales and Advertising at Ganesh Dutta Goswami College, Chandigarh. Kesha's father is a farmer and mother is a housewife. Kesha is a cheerful girl who loves exploring and being with people. Her ambition is to become a clinical psychologist..

Dechen Palmo
Dechen is currently enrolled at Manipal Nursing College, Karnataka. She featured in the top 20 out of 150 students who were selected for a dual program in a Canadian University from Manipal Academy of Higher Education. She comes from Bylakuupe, Karnataka. She completed her school education at Shigally Hill International Academy, Dehradun. Her ambition in life is to become a full-fledged Nurse and help people in every possible way. She is always ready to help other needy children whether it is in terms of education or funds and would like to teach and guide students.

Lobsang Dickey
Lobsang is currently enrolled in Manipal Nursing Collage, Karnataka, pursuing a course in nursing. She comes from Bylakuupe, Karnataka. She completed her school education from Shighally Hill International Academy, Dehradun. Her ambition in life is to become a full-fledged nurse and help people in every possible way. She is always ready to help other needy children, be it in terms of education or funds. She would also like to spread health and hygiene awareness around her.

Tenzin Zompa
Tenzin is from Bylakuppe, Mysore. She completed her senior secondary education from The Asian School, Dehradun. She is pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Kristu Jayanti College, Bengaluru. She aims to contribute to society's well-being by spreading awareness on mental health.

Rajneesh Bhandari
Rajneesh is a student at Chandigarh University pursuing his degree in BBA. He comes from a small village of Tehri Garhwal in Uttarakhand. His father owns a store in the village while his mother looks after the house. He graduated from St. Jude’s School in Dehradun. He wants to work in the Human Resources sector in the not-too-distant future and provide education to underprivileged kids.

Manoj Auli
Manoj is a student at Chandigarh University, where he is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration course. He is a native of Nepal's far western Doti district. His father is a farmer, while his mother is a housewife. His goal in life is to become a prosperous entrepreneur. He completed his education at St. Jude's School in Dehradun. In terms of education and health, he most importantly wants to "assist and contribute towards the betterment of youngsters who genuinely need help and support."

Sweety Bharti
A creative idealist who is deeply concerned with her own personal growth and that of others. Sweety was raised by a single mother. She hails from a small village ETHE in the Khunti District of Jharkhand. She completed her schooling from CJM, Dehradun and is currently pursuing Bachelors of Pharmacy from Chandigarh University. She aspires to be a Health and Wellness Coach and wishes to join a clinical R&D company in the future. She wants to help and empower underprivileged children to achieve their goals and dreams.

Shipa Giri
Shilpa is currently enrolled in Gossner College Ranchi , pursuing a course in BBA . She comes from Hazaribagh, Jharkhand . Her mother is a home maker and her father works in the private sector. She completed her matriculation exam from St. Joseph's Academy, Dehradun and further completed her schooling from Wynberg Allen School, Mussoorie . Her ambition in life is to work in the HR sector. She is always ready to help other needy children whether it is in terms of education or funds. She recently volunteered at the Pestalozzi Campus, Dehradun.

Anchal Kumari
Anchal is from Ranchi, Jharkhand. She completed her schooling from St. Thomas College, Dehradun. Her father is a farmer and mother is a home maker. She has two siblings.She is pursuing a course in Physiotheraphy in Lovely Professional University,Punjab. As a physiotherapist, she would like to reach out and help people in every possible way.

Sarala Nepali
Sarala is from Syangja, Nepal. She completed her schooling from The Asian School, Dehradun. Her father is in the Indian Army and her mother takes care of the home. She has two siblings. She is pursuing a course in Physiotherapy. As a physiotherapist, she would like to reach out and help people in the backward areas of Nepal.

Priya Bharti
Priya is from Banmakhi in Purnia District. She completed her schooling from Convent of Jesus and Mary, Dehradun. Priya is currently pursuing D.El.Ed ( Diploma is Elementary Education) at the Teachers Training College at Musapur, Katihar. She aspires to become a competent teacher and provide free tuitions to students in need.

Preeti Chauhan
Preeti belongs to a small village in Uttarkashi District. She completed her primary education from Government School and secondary education from St.Thomas College in Dehradun.
Currently she is pursuing her B.A.(P) in History and Philosophy from Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi. She wants to become a civil servant, and hopes to contribute by giving back to the underprivileged students who “struggle everyday to get a better education and are not able to fulfill their dreams because of lack of resources.”

Sumit Bage
Sumit is currently enrolled in Visveshvarya National Institute of Technology Maharashtra, pursuing a course in Chemical Engineering. He comes from Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. His mother is a home maker and his father is a farmer. He completed his school education from Brightlands School, Dehradun. His ambition in life is to become an engineer. He also wishes to pursue his passion for drawing. He is always ready to help other needy children whether it is in terms of education or funds and would like to teach and guide students for competitive examinations.

Sachin Chauhan
Sachin is doing his B.A.(Hons) in Political Science from Deshbandu College ,Delhi University. He is from Uttrakhand. His mother is a house wife and father is a farmer. Sachin completed his school education from Wynberg Allen, Mussoorie. His ambition in life is to become a lawyer and serve the nation. Most importantly he wants to “help and contribute towards the betterment of children who really need help and support, in terms of education and health.”

Deepak Ram
Deepak is from Ranchi, Jharkhand. He is currently pursuing his B.Com at Gossner College, Ranchi University. His father is a farmer and his mother a home maker. In his words” India is home to millions of poor & needy people who have limited means. The focus should be on equipping them with all the necessary tools (quality education, healthcare, safety and security, professional skills) so that they in turn can contribute to the growth of our society and the country”. Deepak feels this can be achieved by either becoming a fundraiser, donating to an NGO and Volunteering with a Charity.

Vikki Kumar
Vikki comes from Gunjrain village in Bihar. His father who owns a small cloth shop has been Vikki’s greatest inspiration. He left his village and came to Dehradun where he completed his school education from Brightlands School and then at the Doon Heritage School. Currently he is pursuing History Hons. at D.S.College, Katihar. He wants to join the Civil Services.

Shivam Kumar Choudhary
Shivam is an Aerospace Engineering undergraduate student at Rashtreeya Vidyalaya College of Engineering, Bengaluru. He hails from a village called Tapkara in the Khunti District of Jharkhand. His father runs a small general store back home. Shivam completed his schooling at St. Joseph’s Academy, Dehradun. After his Bachelors he is planning to pursue a Master's degree at a premier institution in the same field. In the future he wishes to work for a space organisation like ISRO.

Tenzin Ingel Kyibuk
Tenzin is currently pursuing a Diploma course at the International Institute of Culinary Arts (IICA), Delhi. He lives with his parents, grandparents and two siblings at Majnu ka Tilla , Delhi. His father works as a travel agent and his mother looks after the home.

Tenzin Choedon
Tenzin is from Chamrajnagar District, Karnataka. He completed his schooling from St. Thomas’ College Dehradun and is currently pursuing a Bachelors in Business Administration at Kristu Jayanti College, Bangalore. She hopes to make a career as a Finance manager.

Eak Narayan Dhakal
Eak Narayan Dhakal is from Syangja District, Nepal. He completed his schooling from The Asian School, Dehradun and is currently pursuing Bachelor of Automobile Engineering at Chandigarh University.

Tenzin Jamyang
Tenzin is from Pokhara, Nepal. He attended the Times World School in Dehradun and is currently pursuing BA (Hons) English at Sri Venkateshwara College, Delhi University.

Sunil Sapkota
Sunil is from Pokhara, Nepal. He completed his schooling from St.Thomas’ College, Dehradun and is currently enrolled at Chandigarh University pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

Manas Ranjan Mahto
Manas hails from West Singhbum District in Jharkhand. He attended St. Joseph’s Academy in Dehradun and is currently enrolled at Dr. Rajendra Prasad College of Arts and Commerce at Durg, Chhattisgarh. He is pursuing a Diploma in Elementary Education.

Rashmi Ranjan
Rashmi is from Banmankhi in Purnia District in Bihar. She completed her schooling from Convent of Jesus and Mary, Dehradun and is currently enrolled at Kamala Nehru College, Delhi University pursuing B.A. (Hons) in History. Her aim is to become a civil servant.

Choekyi Dolma
Choekyi attended the Ann Mary School in Dehradun and is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Arts Degree at Kristu Jayanti College, Bangalore. She aims to become a counselling Psychologist.

Pooja Kumari
Pooja belongs to Jharkhand. She completed her schooling from the Times World School, Dehradun and is currently pursuing her BBA from Jharkhand Rai University. She aims to become a HR manager in a company.

Tenzin Namdol
Tenzin is from Bylakuppe in Mysore District. She attended the Times World School in Dehradun and is currently pursuing a BBA Degree at Kristu Jayanti College, Bangalore. Her career aim is to secure a position as a company manager.

Lhamo Richoe
Lhamo is from Pokhara, Nepal. She completed her schooling from The Asian School, Dehradun. She is enrolled for a Bachelor in Arts in Applied Psychology at Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College for Women, Delhi University. She aims to spread awareness about mental health in her community.

Tenzin Namdol Kyutsang
Tenzin is from Hubbali in Karnataka. She attended St Jude's School in Dehradun. She is pursuing her Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Dayanand Sagar University. Her aim is to become a Human Resources manager.

Anil Mardi
Anil is from West Singhbum District, Jharkhand. He completed his schooling from St. Jude’s School in Dehradun and is currently pursuing his graduation from Dolphin Institute (PG) of Biomedical and Natural Sciences, Dehradun. His aim is to do his best and bring changes in his village and help others in need.

Shishir Hemrom
Shishir is pursuing her BBA from Jharkhand Rai University. Her aim is to pursue a career in banking. She dreams of becoming a singer too. She is grateful to Pestalozzi and Tiara for helping her come a step closer to achieving her goals.

Ngawang Choeying
Ngawang grew up at the Tibetan Refugee camp at Bylakuppe, Mysore. His father is a farmer and mother a teacher. His dream is to become a software engineer and gain expertise in artificial intelligence. He is currently enrolled at the Maharaja Institute of Technology, Mysore. He feels indebted to the Pestalozzi Foundation and hopes to help other students with college admissions and various scholarship schemes. He is grateful to the Tiara Foundation which has brought him closer to realising his dreams

Tenzin Choeyang
Tenzin is from Nepal and is pursuing B.Sc. (Home Science) at the Govt. Home Science College in Chandigarh. For her third year specialisation, she plans to select Human Development and Family Relations along with Food and Nutrition. She enjoys her curriculum which keeps her busy with many activities and projects.

Tenzin Ngadon
Tenzin Ngadon is a freshman in the Psychology department at Jyoti Nivas College Bangalore. Her goal is to become a counsellor. She belongs to the Tibetan Settlement in Bylakuppe, Mysore. A scholarship from Tiara Foundation has motivated her to work hard and she hopes to give back and support other students in need when her turn comes.

Mamta Kumari
Mamta belongs to Rania village in Khunti, Jharkhand. Her father runs a small eatery in the village and her mother lends a helping hand whenever she can in running the shop. Being the eldest of four siblings Mamta wants to make her family proud by pursuing a career in banking. She is currently pursuing B.Com at Gossner College, Ranchi.

Kriti Gupta
Kriti comes from Banmankhi village in Bihar. She completed her schooling from Ann Mary School, Dehradun. She participated in many extra- curricular activities in school like singing and dancing. A good sportsperson she has played volleyball and cricket besides participating in a marathon. She is currently enrolled in Dayal Singh Evening College, Delhi University. Her subjects in college are Human Resource Management and Economics.

Tenzin Dolma
Tenzin comes from a small village Ravangla in Sikkim. She is currently pursuing BBA Hons. at Lovely Professional University. She is grateful to Tiara for lending financial support for her college studies. She aspires for a career in the corporate sector. Having received a scholarship herself she hopes she too will provide for other students who are in need when the time comes.

Anish Thapa
Anish comes from Syangja, Nepal. He lost his father when he was only eleven and his mother has supported her family of four ever since by farming. Anish studied at St Joseph’s Academy, Dehradun. He is pursuing his B.Sc. in Hotel and Hospitality Administration from IHM, Kufri, Shimla. He wants to be an executive chef at a five-star hotel. He would also like to complete the circle of success and help other children in need just as he was helped in his academic pursuits by the Pestalozzi and Tiara Foundations.

Tenzin Lungrik
Tenzin comes from the Tibetan Refugee Camp at Bylakuppe, Mysore. One of three siblings, his dream is to become a software designer. He is currently enrolled at Christ( Deemed to be University) in Bangalore, pursuing a Bachelors course in Computer Application. In the future he hopes he too will be able to support students in need of financial aid to complete their education.

Rohit Kumar Sahu
Rohit belongs to Pabira in Ranchi District. He lost his father at a very young age and his mother was left paralysed after a Maoist attack. Rohit is currently pursuing Economics with Mathematics and Statistics at St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi. He wants complete his Post Graduation in Economics and would like to start a ‘ circle of success’ inspired by the core values of Pestalozzi.

Tenzin Tsomo
A farmer’s daughter, Tenzin completed her schooling at Shigally Hill International Academy, Dehradun. She is currently enrolled at Dyal Singh College, Delhi University in the B.Com (Prog.) course.

Tenzin Dolker
Tenzin comes from Kollegal (Dhondeling Tibetan Settlement) in Mysore. She completed her schooling from the Asian School in Dehradun and is currently, pursuing a B.A. course with Psychology, Sociology and Literature at Jyoti Nivas College, Bangalore University. She aspires to travel abroad for a Post Graduate degree in Psychology.

Sonam Lamo
Sonam comes from a family of farmers in Lahaul and Spiti, Himachal Pradesh. She completed her schooling at Ann Mary School, Dehradun and is now pursuing her B.A. from Post Graduate Government College for Girls in Chandigarh.

Tenzin comes from Dharamsala in Himachal Pradesh. He attended St Thomas’ College, in Dehradun and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Lovely Professional University.

Tenzin Tsephel
Tenzin belongs to a family of five from Gajapati District in Odisha. He schooled at St Joseph’s Academy, Dehradun, and is currently doing his B.A. Hons, at the Faculty of Arts, Delhi University.

Gaurav belongs to a farmer’s family from Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. He went to the Times World School and is currently at Shri Guru Gobind Singh College, Punjab University doing a B.A. (Hons.) in Economics.

Rakhi Kumari Mahto
Rakhi belongs to a family of farmers from Ghasibari village in Jharkhand District. She completed her schooling from Ann Mary School, Dehradun and is currently pursuing B.A. Hons. in English at Guru Gobind Singh College, Punjab University.

Usha Tiru
Usha wants to achieve many things in life. After graduation, she wants to work in the field of Fashion Technology and later aspires to start her own school for children with special abilities. Having lost her father at a very young age she has been supported by her mother in all her endeavours. She completed her schooling from Jaswant Modern School, Dehradun and is now enrolled at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi.

Supriya, a tough young girl, lost both her parents at a very young age while her younger siblings look to her for support. She is pursuing Economics Hons. with Statistics at St. Paul’s College, Ranchi.

Purna Thami
Raised by a single mother, Purna comes from the mountains of Dolakha in Nepal. He attended Ann Mary School and later Oaktree International School in Dehradun and is currently pursuing Economics (Hons.) at Dyal Singh College, Delhi University.

Shreenath Baral
Shreenath aspires to be a successful I.T. engineer. He comes from Pokhara, Nepal and belongs to a farming family. He went to school at St. Joseph’s Academy , Dehradun and is now pursuing a course in I.T. from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology.

Dolker Lhamo
Dolker is enrolled for a Diploma course in Operation Theatre Technology at Narayana Hrudayalaya Institute of Paramedical Board, Bengaluru. She studied at the Convent of Jesus and Mary, Dehradun.

Tenzin Shedup
Tenzin comes from a family of six in Bylakuppe, Mysore. He schooled at Ann Mary School, Dehradun. He is pursuing BBA from Dayanand Sagar College, Bengaluru.

Meghna Kandari
Meghna comes from Tehri Garwhal. Her mother is an Aanganwadi teacher and is the sole provider for the family. She is pursuing a course in Fashion Technology and Apparel Production. After graduation, she plans to work for a few years and then enrol for a Masters in garment making. She would someday like to have her own design and creation studio, which would employ women from rural areas.

Saurav Kumar Ram
Saurav comes from a farming family in Khunti. He is pursuing a course in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, Deoghar. He aspires to be a successful Electronics engineer and wants to be a permanent sponsor of Pestalozzi. During his vacations, he likes to help his father in the fields and even helps with tuition to students up to grade 10.

Tenzin Nyidonp
Tenzin was raised by a single parent in Orissa and is currently pursuing B.A. ( Hons) English from Hansraj College, Delhi University. She aspires to do her Post Graduate studies in English Literature.
2016-17

Tenzin Tsega
From a farmer family living in Kollegal, Karnataka, Tenzin Tsega is a Tibetan refugee girl. She obtained 87% in her ISC Board and is currently pursuing Engineering in Electronics at the prestigious Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore.

Rajshree Kashyap
Also coming from a farming family in Jharkhand, Rajshree is a girl from a large family who obtained 71% in her ISC Board. She is pursuing Hotel Management at IHM in Hyderabad and would like to pursue a profession in the hospitality trade to support her family.

Isha Karkee
Isha is a girl who obtained 86% in her ISC Board and is pursuing B.Com(Hons) from Delhi University. She would like to choose a management profession. Isha had her home in rural Nepal where her family are farmers, badly destroyed in the recent earthquakes.

Naveen Sharma
A very able young man from a farming rural family in Himachal, he obtained 96% in his ISC Boards. Naveen is pursuing Engineering B.Tech Computing from the prestigious Jaypee Institute of Technology in Simla. He has a large extended family he is aiming to support in the future.

Dharmesh Bijalwan
A boy from rural interiors of Uttarakhand, Dharmesh obtained 83% in his ISC Boards and is pursuing Hotel Management from the prestigious Pusa Institute of Hotel Management. A poor farmer's son with a large family, Dharmesh would like to work on an international cruise line. He is an outstanding cricketer who represented the state and known as the “Garhwal Express” for his fast bowling.

Min Kumar Thapa
An intelligent and a thoughtful boy from rural Nepal, Min obtained 95% in his ISC Boards from the prestigious St. Joseph’s Academy in Dehradun, and is now pursuing B.Sc. in Economics from Hansraj College at Delhi University. A stone mason's son, Min would like to go into finance as career.

Migmar Tsethar
A son of a single mother, Migmar is a Tibetan refugee living on the outskirts of Dehradun. He attended the prestigious St. Joseph’s Academy in Dehradun and secured 82% in his ISC Boards. Migmar is reading German at the Delhi University School of Modern Languages and would like to work in foreign trades.
2015-16

Bimala Thami
Bimla is the eldest daughter in the family of seven including her paternal grand-father and three younger siblings, living in the district of Dolakha in the remote Himalayan mountains. Bimla is an extremely intelligent young girl and has secured 95% in her ISC board exams. She is pursuing Economic (Honours) at Delhi University, a course that will eventually lead to a career in Finance & Investment

Phurbu Tseten
Phurbu is from a Tibetan refugee family living in a refugee settlement in south India. She has a large number of dependents in the family with eight brothers & sisters. The family depends entirely on farming which extremely precarious at the best of times, depending on the weather. She attended the prestigious Convent of Jesus & Mary School from where she secured 90% in her ISC Board exams. She is currently studying English (Hons) at Delhi University with aims for teaching or journalism.

Sweta Bharti Mahto
From a large extended family living with the paternal uncle’s family and grand-parents and with her father as the sole bread-winner, Sweta has a tough family condition.She also has two siblings, a brother and a sister. A hard-working, determined girl, who scored 89% in her ISC boards, Sweta hopes to go into civil service. She is currently studying English (Honours) at Punjab University.

Sumitra Pariyar
Sumitra comes from the Gorkha district of Nepal, an area which has been badly hit by the recent earthquakes. Her family and their home has been hugely affected by this calamity. She is a hard-working, out-going young girl who has always wanted to work in the hospitality sector. Having scored 87% at her 12th Boards, she has secured herself a place in the prestigious Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Hyderabad where she will be studying for the next few years to prepare herself for a career.

Rakhi Kumari Mahto
Rakhi is from a tribal family who lost her father recently due to illness, leaving her mother to support the family of four. After her Xth Boards, where Rakhi obtained 89%, she secured scholarship from the Mahatma Gandhi International School to do the International Baccalauriate (IB) as part of her higher secondary education and secured 88%. Rakhi is a very hardworking and kind-hearted girl who would like to enter the public service or do nursing. She is currently at St. Xavier's College, Ranch pursuing B.Com + Public Service examination.

Pankaj Kumar
Pankaj is from a poor family living in a remote village in Tuni district of Uttarakhand. He is the eldest of the siblings and has an added responsibility to take care of his family. He attended the prestigious St. Joseph’s Academy in Dehradun and obtained 86% in his ISC board. A science-oriented student, Pankaj wants to pursue computer science from a well-known institution. Even though he obtained admission at the National Institute of Technology, Uttarakhand, to study civil engineering, he has decided to take a gap-year and take up coaching to obtain admission to an IIT next year.

Sushma Kumari Mahto
From a tribal family background, Sushma is from a family with the main earner being her mother, who is in the village police force. Sushma attended the St. Jude’s School in Dehradun and obtained 81% in her ISC Board exams. She is currently pursuing her B.Com and Banking at St. Xavier's College at Ranchi.
2014-15

Yeshi Khampa
From Tuni Gaon in Uttarakhand, Yeshi has a knack with languages. She hopes to be selected for the Civil Services or go into international banking. Yeshi passed out of St. Thomas’ College, Dehradun with a 73% in her ISC examination and is now majoring in German Language at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.

Divya Hans
Divya hails from Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. She graduated from The Asian School, Dehradun, with 87% in her Board results. Now having secured a place at the prestigious Jesus & Mary College to read Sociology, she hopes to secure a civil service job so that she can be in a position to help her family.

Lovely Kumari
Lovely Kumari from Jharkhand secured a place in one of the premier colleges of Delhi. She finished school from St. Jude’s School, Dehradun with a 73% in her Board examinations. She is now doing a BA in Entrepreneurial & Small Business (ESB) from Gargi College (DU). After she graduation she hopes to enter the civil service or find employment in a good company in a managerial position.

Tenzin Chokyi
Chokyi is an extremely determined girl. She worked hard and got 74% in her Board examination. She always wanted to be a nurse from an early age and she now she is closer to her dream, having secured a place to pursue BSc in Nursing from the prestigious St. John’s Nursing College in Bangalore.

Tashi Paljor
Tashi hails from Manali, Himachal Pradesh. He graduated from The Asian School, Dehradun with 74% in CBSE. He is pursuing Computer Science Engineering from Indraprastha College (DU).
2013-14

Tenzin Nyima
Tenzin from a Tibetan refugee camp in Pokhara, Nepal. Youngest of six daughters in the family, Nyima was fortunate to be selected for the Pestalozzi sponsorship. Nyima completed her ISCE 12th board with 74% aggregate from the prestigious Brightlands School in Dehradun. She would like to pursue a career in business, and if possible, pursue MBA at some point. Currently a B.Com student at the Bishop Cotton Women’s Christian College in Bangalore, Nyima is a Tiara Foundation Awardee.

Anjana Mary Kindo
Anjana is from Hazaribagh. Mary is one of 4 sisters and her mother, a primary teacher in a village government school, is the sole bread-winner in the family. Mary attended the Convent of Jesus & Mary School in Dehradun and secured 89% in her 12th ISCE board. She graduated with English (Hons) from the prestigious St. Stephen’s College in New Delhi, with a Tiara Foundation Scholarship. Her aim is to secure a position in the civil service for which she is willing to work very hard.

Rahima Khatun Pawariya
Rahima is from Nepal. Her father, a tailor by trade, is the sole bread-winner in the family. He moved the family to Kathmandu from his native village in the Terai, due to economic hardships. Rahima was lucky to be able to live at Pestalozzi Children’s Village and study at the well-known St. Joseph’s Academy in Dehradun. A very hard working girl, Rahima would like to pursue a career in multi-media or journalism. With 90% in her ISCE 12thboard, she obtained a place at the Delhi College of Arts & Commerce to read English Honours with a grant from Tiara Charitable Foundation.

Tenzin Kalsang
Tenzin is from the Tibetan refugee colony in Manali in Himachal Pradesh. Admitted to Pestalozzi in 2005, Kalsang went to St. Thomas’ College for his secondary schooling. With a sharp bend of mind and an interest in business, he secured 77% in his 12th ICSE board exams. Kalsang would like to pursue a career in business and, if circumstances permit, would like to take up chartered accountancy as his career choice. He is now a B.Com student at Shri Guru Govind College of Commerce (DU) as a Tiara Scholar. Tenzin hopes that one day he will be able to help other students achieve their goals just as he has been helped.
2012-13

Vibha Tirkey
Very hard working, sincere, and of a serious bent of mind, Vibha is from Hazaribagh in Jharkhand. She secured 90% in her 12th Board Examinations. She has completed her B.Com from St. Xavier’s, Ranchi, and is on the look-out for a job while planning to take up studies for her civil services exams. She enjoys reading, community service and cooking. In school, Vibha participated in Sports and did well in basketball and field and track events.

Rozina Shrestha
A hard working girl, Rozina secured 85% in her 12th Board Examination. She has now completed her Bachelor of Business Studies from Kathmandu University, Nepal and is currently looking for a part-time job while looking to pursue her MBA. Her dream is to build a career as a Cost Accountant in a multinational firm. Rozina is artistic and enjoys reading, listening to music and cooking.

Hemanta Tamang
Hemanta is from Nepal. He likes adventure, has a sense of humour and makes friends easily. He is a keen sportsman who plays football, cricket and basketball. He enjoys travelling and social networking. Hemanta obtained 81% in his 12th standard Board examinations, He has now graduated from the Indian Institute of Hotel Management, Bangalore and has joined the Oberai International Hotel and is already helping to sponsor one child's tuition from the Foundation.

Bimala Shrestha
Bimala, awarded a Travel Grant from Tiara Charitable Foundation, is a sociable girl who easily impresses with her quiet confidence. She was awarded the Pestalozzi Student of the Year in 2010 (The Head, Heart & Hands award), for her achievements in academic work, community service and practical skills. Subsequently she won a scholarship to Mahindra United World College, Pune, from where she obtained an IB diploma. Currently she is an undergraduate student at St. Olaf University, Minnesota, USA, where she has a full scholarship. Bimla enjoys community work and social networking.
